Sticking With Foye

Randy Foye’s stock is taking a hit in fantasy leagues across the country despite solid fantasy production over the last few weeks. He wasn’t as productive at the point but he’s back playing the two and dropped 27 points against the Kings on Sunday.

Analysis: Foye is the 9th rated fantasy shooting guard over the last two weeks of the season but he’s actually being dropped in many leagues at the moment. Foye is playing very well this month at two different positions- he’s averaging 15 PPG, 5 APG and nearly 3 threes made per game. He’s also averaging 1 steal per contest, 35 minutes per game and he’s shooting 95% from the line this month. Foye did have a great January but he’s still putting up quality numbers.

There isn’t much to dislike about Foye’s fantasy game right now. He’s only shooting 40% from the field this year but that is right in line with his career mark. He’s also hitting just 37% of his threes which isn’t a bad mark, but he is 7th among shooting guards in threes made per game.

Currently, Randy Foye is available in 10-20% of fantasy leagues.

Stock Rising- Randy Foye

Randy Foye may be on his fifth NBA team this year but he continues to play well despite being lost in the shuffle.

Analysis: Randy Foye is averaging 3.4 3PM, 17.6 PPG, 4.8 RPG and 3.6 APG over his last five games. He has hit a total of 17 threes in that span while averaging over 35 minutes of floor time per night.

Foye’s biggest problem as a shooting guard has always been his lack of steals and a low field goal percentage, so keep that in mind. In recent years Foye has become a good three point shooter in terms of volume and efficiency. He’s even sporting a career 85% mark from the line. Over the last week of the season Foye is outperforming Kevin Martin, Arron Afflalo and Evan Turner. Currently, Foye is available in 70-97% of fantasy leagues. If his minutes remain north of thirty per game it will be impossible to ignore him.

Jimmy Butler is another player on the rise in the wake of the Luol Deng trade. Butler shot a career high 18 times in his last game. He’s averaging 2.6 SPG, 15 PPG and 4.8 RPG over his last five games. He’s 9th in the NBA in steals and 14th among shooting guards in rebounds. Butler is available in 10-15% of fantasy leagues.

Three Ball Help- Randy Foye

Randy Foye’s minutes in Utah have risen recently and to no one’s surprise so has his fantasy production.

Analysis: Randy Foye has been averaging thirty minutes per game over the past few weeks and his increased playing time is paying off. Foye has averaged 3.0 three pointers made and 6.6 three point attempts over his last five games. His greatest asset has always been his long range shooting ability so it’s good to see him shooting threes at a career high clip.

Foye may have point guard/shooting guard eligibility but you can’t really play him at the point. He only averages 1.8 assists per game this year and has not been a viable fantasy point guard since his days in Minnesota years ago. But Foye does bring some others tools to the fantasy table. He’ll give you about one steal per game and he’s a career 86% free throw shooter. He is available in eighty percent of leagues which doesn’t exactly make sense since he is getting thirty minutes per and hoisting up threes like it’s going out of style but keep in mind that he can hurt you with his field goal percentage if and when he cools off.

Randy Foye Is Clutch

Randy Foye is playing the best basketball of his life and is turning into a multi category fantasy basketball machine.

Analysis: Foye is averaging 20.8 PPG and 5.6 APG over his last five games. He’s got a lot of other things going for him as well. He’s got point guard and shooting guard position eligibility and he’s a career 86% free throw shooter. Although Eric Gordon will be coming back from injury soon he won’t be back to full strength for awhile and there is no way Foye won’t be getting at least 30 minutes a game when he does return. Foye is hitting just over one three per game for the year and has six multi steal games in his last ten contests. Randy Foye is doing it all from the PG/SG position and the fact that he’s available in seventy percent of fantasy leagues- what’s not to like?

Projection: Regardless of Eric Gordon’s return, Randy Foye will be getting tons of minutes. He’s averaging over 35 minutes a game over the last two weeks and no one can argue with his productivity. Expect 14-17 PPG, 5 APG, 1 3PM and 1 SPG the rest of the way for the Clippers.
