March 19th Weekly Release Notes

This past week FantasySP acheived the most traffic in it’s history.  This was due to the NBA trade deadline and the awesome week of NFL free agency that is still ongoing.  This is truly an exciting time and I wanted to thank everyone who is a part of the site.

Now switching gears to this weeks release notes:

  • NEW! Fleaflicker league syncing support.
  • Behind the scenes tweaks to depth charts to further enhance longterm accuracy.
  • Fix for daily/weekly email opt out link
  • Mockup for yet to be announced sister-site completed. (This will be cool, I promise)

March 12th Weekly Release Notes

Many more bug fixes have been implemented this week.  Some bigger than others.

I’d like to also mention that I am working on something rather cool that is based off of FantasySP data.  I can’t say what it is quite yet, but it went from a ‘cool idea and might one day try to do’, to something that I will most likely implement and launch.  Stay tuned for a future announcement of that.  In the meantime, here are this weeks release notes:

  • Foxsports syncing has been fixed and updated to reflect roster moves and lineup changes. (thanks dusty)
  • mlb.com syncing has been fixed and updated to reflect roster moves and lineup changes. (thanks dusty)
  • major behind the scenes work has been done to ensure depth charts remain accurate
  • synced fantasy leagues will be updated from the past year or so only. (This is to prevent outdated leagues from updating and taking up resources.)

This week’s changes include improvements to the Fantasy Assistant and various bugs to the site in general.  One major bug has been fixed with the Fantasy Assistant and one new feature has been added.  Onto the list:

February 27th Weekly Release Notes

The past week at FantasySP has been crazy.  There have been a lot of interest in the Fantasy Assistant, and I’ve been very busy applying new updates throughout the week.   I’m excited to see February come to a close, which means fantasy baseball is right around the corner.

Most of this weeks changes are for the Fantasy Assistant, but the full list is right here:

  • Fixed CBSSports Fantasy Baseball syncing (thanks tommy)
  • Fixed missing NBA player’s stats from collecting
  • Fixed missing NHL data
  • Font additions across FantasySP.com to have the site reflect a newer look, similar to the Fantasy Assistant
  • NFL prospects due to enter the league next year have been added to the rosters.
  • Many, many, many Fantasy Assistant changes. (the link above will give a complete rundown)
  • The addition of separate Fantasy Assistant blog posts.
  • About Fantasy Assistant page has been created.
  • Created easy opt-out option for Weekly/Daily emails (just like player alerts)
  • Lots of work done in preparation for my first ad campaign.

Fantasy Assistant Improvements + NHL Waiver Suggestions Goes Live

I am happy to announce that NHL Waiver Wire Suggestions are now live on the Fantasy Assistant.    I look forward to hearing everyone’s feedback as they get a chance to test it out.

Also, a few other smaller changes to make note of:

  • Mousing over each waiver wire suggestion’s name will show his start/own percentage. (Unfortunately, there is little room to fit that anywhere else)
  • Player own/start percentages are now cached to improve load speeds.
  • Bug fixed figuring out rank for teams on FA homepage.
  • Bug fix for NBA waiver wire suggestions, sometimes a player would be wrongfully excluded.
